Brain Mapping

If you have struggled to find testing for ADHD, BrainView is a convenient and affordable option and is covered by most insurance plans.  The test can be completed in less than one hour and results are available in about one week.

BrainView provides information to your provider on how well your brain is processing information and how your body is physically responding to stress. Brainwave patterns can be correlated with specific disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more.

Preparing for Your BrainView Test!

Preparing for Your BrainView Test!

The BrainView is a comprehensive and advanced assessment that combines information on your brain functioning, cognitive functioning abilities, metabolic information, and information regarding electrical signals of your heart.

The report generated will show your brainwaves at rest and when your brain is performing a task. We compare this to a large database of individuals your same age. This test will help us develop a more informed treatment plan for you.

electrocap

The assessment is easy and non-invasive. A cap that contains electrodes will be placed on your scalp. Gel is used to create the contact needed between the scalp and the electrodes in order to record your brainwaves. You will be seated comfortably in a chair while recordings of your brain activity are made during eyes opened, eyes-closed, and during a task. You will also be asked to complete a brief questionnaire on the computer. The appointment takes 45 minutes to an hour. Your doctor should have the results within 7 days.

BEFORE YOUR TEST REMEMBER TO:

  • Refrain from excessive caffeine intake the day of your appointment.  Your usual cup of coffee is fine : )
  • Try to sleep well the night before in order to remain awake and alert during recordings.
  • Arrive with clean and dry hair for ease of cap setup.
  • Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing, electrodes will be placed under your clavicle and lower rib.
  • Don't start any new medications in the days leading up to your test if possible.
  • Ask our team if you have any additional questions.  We are here to help!
